
Notifiable Conditions
The World Health Organization lists 17 conditions as neglected tropical diseases. The following neglected tropical diseases have a history of transmission in Texas or transmission could occur in Texas. The diseases listed below are all required to be reported in Texas.

Chagas Disease
Dengue Fever & Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF)
Echinococcosis
Fascioliasis (foodborne trematode)
Hookworm (ancylostomiasis)(Soil-transmitted helminthiases)
Leishmaniases
Leprosy (Hansens' Disease)
Paragonimiasis (foodborne trematode)
Rabies
Taeniasis and neurocysticercosis
Trichuriasis (Soil-transmitted helminthiases)
