Healthy People 2000: Health Status Indicators by Texas Public Health Regions and Race Ethnicity, 1990-2000

This report provides a subset of 19 natality, morbidity, mortality, socioeconomic, and environmental health status indicators used in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Healthy People 2000 series.  Comparisons are presented for each of Texas’ 11 public health regions and by race/ethnicity.  The report updates previous health status indicator reports and provides an overview of how the selected indicators performed for the decade that the Healthy People 2000 goals were in place.
