Stroke Survivors and Caregivers Conference Materials Now Available

The Texas Council on Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke in partnership with the Texas Heart Disease and Stroke Program implemented a statewide Stroke Survivors and Caregivers Conference on Friday, May 6, in Austin. The Council’s purpose with the conference was to increase stroke survivors', caregivers', and healthcare providers’ awareness of services and support systems available in our communities, and identify ways to enhance them. Conference topics included how to prevent another stroke, stress management, respite care and more. 

Dr. Robert K. Lee, Medical Director of Stroke and Neurological Recovery at St. David’s Rehabilitation Hospital offered the keynote, Connecting Families and Professional Caregivers to Resources
