Re: COHORT Remote (Dial-in) Users

Beginning late March 2008, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Laboratory Services Section will be changing computer information systems from COHORT to LabWare. This will be a staggered implementation starting with Serology testing module. The anticipated go-live dates for each module may change as a result of implementation processes. Please check our web site at and/or check the bulletin notice during COHORT sign-on for further updates on changes to the anticipated Go-Live dates.

Each remote user will need to complete a new security packet and submit it prior to the module’s Anticipated Go-Live Date, or you will not be able to access any information in the new LabWare system. If a test was received in COHORT, the test results will be available in COHORT. Once the module has “Gone Live”, all tests will be entered into the new LabWare system. You may have to check both systems until all testing has been completed in COHORT. Once all testing has been completed in COHORT, access to COHORT will be terminated for that module. If you submit tests for more than one module, then you need to access both systems for test results.
