Alzheimer’s Caregiver Resources

This month raises awareness for people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, as well as honors the millions of caregivers. Alzheimer’s poses challenges for both the person diagnosed with the disease and those with caregiving responsibilities. Currently, 360,000 Texans are living with Alzheimer’s and 1.4 million unpaid caregivers provide care for them. Alzheimer's is a disease of the brain that causes a decline in memory, thinking and behavior that interferes with everyday life. There is no cure, but there are many services and resources for support if you are a caregiver to someone affected by this disease. Below are a few helpful resources.
