Heat Safety

Living in State of Texas, also means living through hot summers. The heat can affect anyone, but especially the elderly, the very young, and the sick. Also know that pets can also be affected by the heat. At the first signs of heat illness – dizziness, nausea, headaches, muscle cramps – move to a cooler place, rest a few minutes, then slowly drink a cool beverage. Seek medical attention immediately if conditions do not improve. The best defense against heat-related illness is prevention.
