DSHS Urges West Nile Precautions

Texas is on track to have the most cases of West Nile illness since the disease first emerged in the state in 2002. DSHS is urging people to take precautions to reduce the risk of contracting the virus. People should use insect repellent every time they go outside and drain standing water. Statewide more than 1,600 cases have been reported, mostly from Dallas County.
