Through the program, grants of up to $35,000 will be awarded in support of original research in clinical gastroenterology. Awardees will be selected based on project feasibility, scientific and clinical significance, originality, anticipated contribution of the research to clinical practice, and the availability of adequate resources, including personnel and facilities. The program also will consider pilot projects for grants of up to $10,000.

To be eligible, at least one of the investigators must be an ACG member or trainee member at the time of grant proposal submission. Note that physicians in training (interns, residents, fellows) are eligible to apply provided that the work is conducted under the preceptorship of a more senior or experienced investigator.
