Is your family prepared?

DSHS plays an important role in emergency preparedness and response during times of disaster. Threats to the public’s health may come from a variety of sources, including pandemics, natural and man-made disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, biological terrorism and radiological events.

Planning now will help save lives later. This site offers preparedness information and resources for the public and professionals.

DSHS’s Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Section provides public health leadership by coordinating and planning with local jurisdictions and the state’s public and private-sector health care systems.
