Health Service Region 1 Environmental Services

Purpose

Environmental Services provides direct services to prevent occupational and environmental diseases through identification, evaluation and control of environmental health hazards.

Community Hygiene

Community Hygiene consists of other environmental programs including hazard communication, mold issues including licensing and remediation, environmental lead and the Asbestos Hazardous Emergency Response Act (AHERA) for Asbestos Management Plans in Schools.

Asbestos Programs

Asbestos programs safeguards the health of the state's citizens in public buildings from asbestos through licensing and inspection of those involved in asbestos related activities.
