Purpose:

The purpose of the Toxic Substance Control Division is to protect the physical and environmental health of the citizens of Texas. We strive to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all public employees, and prevent unnecessary exposures to asbestos, lead, and other environmental hazards for the public.
