Expected Cancer Cases and Deaths

Expected Cancer Cases Cases and Deaths

2018 Estimates

Projected numbers of new cancer cases and deaths in 2018 for all primary cancer sites are available statewide, for each Public Health Region, and for counties with a population of at least 100,000. Projected numbers of cancer cases and deaths for 2018 were estimated by applying Texas age- and sex-specific incidence and mortality rates from 2011-2015 to the corresponding 2018 Texas population projections. 2018 Texas population projections for calculating the estimates were provided by the Center for Health Statistics, Texas Department of State Health Services, and were current as of January 2018. Please note that the sum of male and female expected numbers may not always equal the total numbers due to rounding.
