National Alzheimer’s Disease Diagnostic Guidelines

In 2011,clinical diagnostic criteria for Alzheimer’s disease dementia were revised, andresearch guidelines for earlier stages of the disease were characterized toreflect a deeper understanding of the disorder. Development of the newguidelines was led by the National Institutes of Health and the Alzheimer’sAssociation.
