Partners and Stakeholders

Oral health overlaps with many other aspects of overall health.  OHIP partners with programs within DSHS and other agencies and with external partners like academic institutions, professional organizations and others to work towards improving oral health in Texas.  Some of these groups focus specifically on oral health, and some share common ground with oral health.  Working together makes our collective efforts stronger.

Our stakeholders range from the public to public health professionals to the dental and medical communities and beyond.  We have information and resources that are appropriate for all levels.

Our partners include, but are not limited to, the:

Texas Oral Health Surveillance System (TOHSS)

Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors (ASTDD) - Data for indicators from the National Oral Health Surveillance System (NOHSS), Water Fluoridation Statistics biennial reports, and the annual Synopses of State Oral Health Programs. State-level data provided for all indicators. National-level data of state-level data also provided. Synopses data provided by ASTDD includes additional context for the NOHSS indicators. New data is added as it becomes available.
