Licensing Board and Data Source

The Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners adopts rules to regulate the qualifications and practice of social workers in Texas.

Information regarding the education requirements, licensure requirements, and responsibilities of social workers can be found on the website of the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners.

*Starting in 2019, tables for social workers are separated by license type. Supply tables for the years 2010-2018 have been updated to reflect this change. Any discrepancies between new tables and old tables are a result of new, standardized processing of all data.
