Preschoolers and school children with hearing and vision problems will be identified early and linked to appropriate remedial services. School children will learn about preventive vision and hearing care.

Vision and Hearing Screening Certification Training Schedule
Classes are offered by the DSHS Vision, Hearing, and Spinal Screening Program Coordinator and are limited to 12 participants. Participants must have completed high school (diploma or GED). To register for the classes or for additional information on certification or re-certification classes, please contact Claudia Bourland, Vision, Hearing, and Spinal Screening Program Coordinator for Public Health Region 1. You may also find classes listed on Region 16 Education Service Center’s website at http://www.esc16.net/ under workshops.
Classes will be offered in other counties of DSHS Region 1 when there is a need/interest for the training. Please contact Claudia Bourland for scheduling.
