Oversamples Table Lookup - BRFSS
Since 2004, six standard Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs), Austin-Round Rock MSA, Dallas-Plano-Irving PMSA, Ft. Worth-Arlington PMSA, El Paso MSA, Houston-Baytown-Sugar Land MSA, and San Antonio MSA, have been oversampled in the state. Those data can be found in the regular BRFSS query system.
Additional MSAs and counties were oversampled for programmatic and local health initiatives in Texas from 2006-2010. The data presented below for the oversamples were weighted to adjust for the probabilities of selection and a post-stratification weighting factor that adjusted for sex and age of that particular community.
