All TVFC-enrolled facilities receive a monthly influenza dashboard from the Immunization Section, which reports current flu vaccine coverage and utilization rates.
Coverage rates are calculated by collecting the number of flu doses administered at the site in the last month, divided by the number of TVFC-eligible children reported in the patient profile section of the re-enrollment form for each TVFC-enrolled facility.
Utilization rates are calculated by collecting the number of flu doses administered at the site in the last month, divided by the number of flu doses shipped to the TVFC-enrolled facility. Once open ordering begins, utilization rates will be calculated by the doses administered and divided by all doses shipped to the facility (shipped doses during the allocation period and shipped doses from open order).
In addition, the dashboard contains information on Texas influenza outbreaks, Texas pediatric influenza deaths, the rates for each county and the State of Texas using data from the Provider-reported population estimate from the 2024 Re-Enrollment Survey. It ranks for each clinic and county on coverage and utilization rates.
It is important that doses administered data is current in the Vaccine Allocation and Ordering System (VAOS) to ensure a reliable utilization rate estimate.
