National Influenza Vaccination Week

National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW), Dec. 1-5, 2025, is a nationwide observance that highlights the importance of flu vaccination and encourages communities to get vaccinated during flu season. It is not too late to get a flu shot. DSHS supports ongoing efforts to reduce flu-related illness, hospitalizations, and missed school or work.

The NIVW 2025 Digital Toolkit provides public health partners, health care providers, schools, community organizations, and state agencies with ready-to-use communication materials to promote flu vaccination. This toolkit includes daily themes, key messages, social media copy, printable posters, talking points, and outreach resources designed to support consistent, statewide flu messaging throughout Texas.

DSHS created toolkit materials to help partners increase flu awareness, strengthen vaccine confidence, and encourage Texans to get vaccinated during flu season. These free resources can be used for websites, social media platforms, newsletters, clinics, schools, and community outreach events.
