Public Use Data Files (PUDFs)

BRFSS PUDFs contain data for a requestor to conduct analyses on their own using the statistical software of their choosing. To request access to a public-use data file, please fill out the BRFSS PUDF Agreement Form, sign it electronically, and submit the form by e-mail, BRFSS@dshs.texas.gov, or by clicking the 'Submit the Form' yellow box on the form.

NOTE: As with all blank forms, please download the blank form to your desktop, fill it in, and then submit it electronically.

Health Surveys User Group (HSUG) - BRFSS

Texas Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance SystemThe Health Surveys User Group (HSUG) brings together internal and external Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) partners to discuss how to implement the annual Texas Behavioral Risk Factor Survey (BRFS). This group advises the Community Assessment Team (CAT) at the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) on questionnaire development and data collection for the BRFSS, which includes data analysis, interpretation, use, and reporting.
