Department of State Health Services. Hear from DSHS employees over three days

Description: This training defines security standards for protecting confidential information collected and maintained by the TB/HIV/STD and Viral Hepatitis Section associated with surveillance, epidemiology, public health follow-up, the Texas Medication Program and any other confidential information within the Section.
Data Discovery Workshop

Description: The Center for Health Statistics periodically hosts a DSHS Data Discovery Workgroup where all major types of data within the Agency are discussed. During the day-long workshop, each dataset is reviewed for content and how persons can access the data using official procedures.
A more condensed Data Discovery Workshop is also available to bring onsite to interested parties such as academic partners. CHS staff members will travel to the partner’s site and present the abbreviated workshop in person.
