HRSA: Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) - Planning (Forecasted)
HRSA-26-036. Support for organizations in rural communities to build the partnerships and foundational capacity needed to develop, implement and sustain a comprehensive system of substance use disorder (SUD) and related services. HRSA estimates an application due date of April 27th. Award: Forty (40) awards of $100,000. No cost sharing or match required. Geographic Scope: Nationwide.
CPRIT: Cancer Screening and Early Detection (June 10, 2026)
542-RFA-P-27.1-CSD. Support for the delivery of evidence-based clinical services to screen for cancer and precancer in priority populations who do not have adequate access to screening and early detection interventions and health care, bringing together networks of public health and community partners to carry out programs tailored for their communities. Projects should identify cancers that cause the most burden in the community, have nationally recommended screening methods, and use evidence-based interventions to screen for these cancers. Delivery of clinical services is restricted to residents of Texas. Award: Maximum of $1,500,000 for new projects and $2,500,000 for expansion projects. Maximum of five-year projects. TPW: Local Parks Grants (August 1, 2026)
The Local Parks Grants Program consists of five individual programs that assist local units of government with the acquisition and/or development of public recreation areas and facilities. TCDD: Disability-Related Speaker Stipends (Rolling Basis)
Funding to support presentations on disability-related issues at conferences in Texas. Applications must be received at least 60 days before the event. TDA: Rural Communities Health Care Investment Program (April 2, 2026)
Funds to assist rural communities in recruiting health care providers other than physicians to practice in their communities by providing partial student loan reimbursements or stipend payments to non-physicians. Eligible applicants include non-physician healthcare providers. Award: $10,000. Geographic Scope: Texas Counties with total populations of 50,000 or less.
TDA: 2026 Downtown Revitalization Program (April 7, 2026)
The TxCDBG program provides funding for infrastructure improvements to promote pedestrian-centered economic activity. Eligible municipalities may apply to address slum and blighted conditions in the downtown district. These projects commonly include sidewalk and lighting improvements. Award: Up to $1,000,000. Geographic Scope: Texas, in communities that qualify as predominantly low to moderate income.
CMS: MAHA ELEVATE (April 10, 2026, Letter of Intent)
CMS-2W2-27-001. Funding to test innovative, evidence-based clinical approaches rooted in whole-person functional and lifestyle medicine that hold strong potential for improving health outcomes and reducing costs. The April 19th Letter of Intent is required. The full application deadline is May 15th. Award: Up to $3,300,000 for three-year projects. Up to 30 organizations will be selected and split between two cohorts. Cohort 1 begins in October 2026 and Cohort 2 begins in October 2027. Geographic Scope: Nationwide.
DOL: RESTART Re-entry Employment Grants (April 15, 2026)
FOA-ETA-26-17. Support for workforce training and employment for youth and adults returning from the justice system. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, tribal governments, state governments, and national or regional intermediaries with partners in three or more non-contiguous regions. Faith based organizations may apply. Award: Up to 20 grants ranging from $1,000,000 - $5,100,000. Geographic Scope: Nationwide.
SAMHSA: FY2026 Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program (AOT) (April 20, 2026)
SM-26-001. Cooperative agreements to facilitate the implementation of AOT for adults with serious mental illness (SMI). Recipients are expected to implement the AOT program, working with civil courts, community partners, and other entities to support community-based treatment for adults with SMI who meet criteria for AOT. Award: Sixteen (16) awards of up to $750,000. Geographic Scope: Nationwide.
SAMHSA: Zero Suicide in Health Systems (April 20, 2026)
SM-26-008. Grants to implement the Zero Suicide framework, a comprehensive, multi-setting approach to suicide prevention in health systems. Award: Thirty-one (31) five-year awards of up to $700,000 for states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. Territories, and up to $400,000 for other eligible applicants. Geographic Scope: Nationwide and U.S. Territories.
HRSA: Nursing Workforce Diversity (May 21, 2026)
HRSA-26-095. This is a forecasted opportunity to increase nursing education opportunities for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, government entities, independent school districts, and institutions of higher education. Award: Thirty-six (36) awards for up to $555,000.
