The Texas Cancer Registry (TCR) sponsors North American Association of Central Cancer Registries webinars at no cost to Texas cancer reporters. All Texas cancer reporters are encouraged to attend and to complete a post-webinar quiz to obtain Continuing Education (CE) credit, which is required to maintain the CTR credential.
2021-2022 NAACCR Webinar Series
Cancer reporters can participate in the NAACCR Webinar Series through two different methods:
- NAACCR Webinar Host Sites allow cancer reporters to view the training onsite locally. Because of each host site's COVID-19 guidelines, sites might restrict access or not provide in-person viewings each month. Before attending, email or call the host site contact to find out if in-person access is available.
- TCR will upload the webinar recordings and materials to FLccSC, an online training platform for cancer registries, soon after each training. To access the trainings, you must have a free FLccSC account.
Additionally, some reporting facilities chose to have NAACCR send training links directly to their cancer reporters (sign-up for this option has ended). Refer to the NAACCR Webinar Terms of Use Agreement (.pdf) for more information.
For questions about the webinar process or to learn about becoming a host site, please contact TCR.Training@dshs.texas.gov.
