Birth Defects Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch
The Birth Defects Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch is home to the Texas Birth Defects Registry (TBDR) and the Texas Center for Birth Defects Research and Prevention.
Our Mission: To identify and describe the patterns and outcomes of children with birth defects in Texas and to collaborate with others in research, prevention, and family outreach services.
Our Vision: To achieve a statewide birth defects registry that operates seamlessly and collaboratively to produce timely data for our stakeholders.
