Chemical and Pesticide Exposure for Farmworkers

Agriculture is one of the major industries in the United States. Agriculture is growing and harvesting crops such as cotton, corn, fruit, livestock, and other products used in the United States. Farmworkers are the backbone to the agriculture industries in the country. Examples of agriculture industries include crop production, forestry and logging, animal production, and aquaculture. Many of these industries use chemicals and pesticides to protect, prevent, and control pests in their crops. Farmworkers are often exposed to these chemicals may experience severe health problems.
