The following State of Texas websites are listed to assist you in pursuing grants and funding opportunities. DSHS grant and contract notices are published in the Texas Electronic State Business Daily and the Texas Register. Whenever possible, the DSHS Funding Information Center redistributes this information through its weekly Funding Alerts. Grant writing resources are available from the Funding Information Center. Animal Friendly License Plate Program
Thanks to Texas drivers’ support of the Animal Friendly Fund, DSHS has been able to distribute grant funds for spay/neuter surgeries for dogs and cats in Texas.

EMS/Trauma Systems Funding
These programs work to fund EMS agencies, hospitals, RAC's and other association agencies with monies funded through grants.  

HIV/STD/TB Program
An up-to-date site full of information on HIV/STD/TB prevention, grants, statistics and care in Texas.

Maternal and Child Health - Title V Fee for Service Program
Provides information on the Title V Fee for Service Program. Includes links to contract awards, contractor forms, client eligibility, family planning program, policies, and providers.

Mental Health Block Grants
The federal Mental Health Block grant program awards funds to states to establish or expand an organized, community-based system for providing mental health services for adults with serious mental illness and children with serious emotional disturbances. Funds awarded are to be used to carry out the approved state plan, to evaluate programs and services set in place under the plan, and to conduct planning, administration and educational activities related to the provision of services under the plan. The Community Mental Health Services Block Grant accounts for approximately 7% of DSHS expenditures of Community Mental Health.

School Health Funding Alert
The School Health Funding Alert webpage is a service from the School Health Program of the Texas Department of State Health Services. A list has been developed with links to websites for many funding opportunities for school districts and organizations that serve school-age populations.
