Texas Department of State Health Services Library Catalog

Welcome

The online catalog includes the collections of the Medical and Research Library, Funding Information Center, and Audiovisual Library, including collections on Early Childhood Intervention and Rehabilitation Services. Borrowing information for the individual collections is provided below.

Medical and Research Library

The Medical and Research Library collection consists of books and e-books on subjects ranging from public health and medicine to computer software and management. The Library maintains a collection of DSHS documents, as well as other government publications, and subscribes to print and electronic journals. Texas Health and Human Services employees may search the Electronic Library for e-books, e-journals, and databases.

Employees associated with Texas Health and Human Service agencies may borrow Medical and Research library books for four weeks and journals for three days. Employees located off the DSHS campus may add an additional week to allow for mail time. Other libraries may borrow books through inter-library loan (except reference books). Medical books may not be loaned directly to the general public.
