The Texas Department of State Health Services is pleased to announce the 2022 Healthcare Safety Conference will be hosted virtually on May 17-19, 2022. The theme of this year’s conference is “Response, Resilience & Recovery during COVID-19.” The COVID pandemic has challenged all of us, whether we are frontline healthcare workers, public health staff, or members of the community. Now that the pandemic is winding down, we would like to share our response efforts and lessons learned with our healthcare safety partners, with whom we weathered this unprecedented storm. Please join us for this free virtual conference that will hopefully provide you with some tools and resources you can use to build resiliency for yourself and your organization!

Conference Objectives

The purpose of this conference is to share information with our healthcare partners and stakeholders related to the COVID response efforts, as well as provide some tools and resources for building resiliency to lessen the effects of burnout and misinformation. The conference will include plenary sessions as well as learning tracks for long-term care and Infection prevention/patient safety.  Agenda and speaker bios coming soon! 

Who Should Attend

Healthcare professionals from health systems, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, long-term care facilities, and health departments. This includes nurses, physicians, laboratorians, patient safety, quality improvement, risk management, infection preventionists, epidemiologists, administrators, and others interested in patient safety and infection prevention.

Continuing education credit for multiple disciplines will be provided for this event.
