The following tests in the
table below are provided by the Antibiotic Resistance Laboratory Network (AR
Lab Network) Regional Laboratory, which currently is the Utah
Public Health Laboratory for the
Mountain region states. While all the tests listed below are performed in Utah,
some specimen types must be shipped to the Texas Antibiotic Resistance
Laboratory (Texas AR Laboratory) before being forwarded.
- Specimen types shipped directly to
the Utah Public Health Laboratory (pink):
Coordination with a Texas HAI Epidemiologist (MDROTexas@dshs.texas.gov) is required for specimens shipped directly to the
Utah Public Health Laboratory.
- Specimen types shipped through
the Texas AR Laboratory (green): Appropriate
Texas DSHS Laboratory submission forms (see Specimen
Submission Steps page) must be submitted with the specimens. The
specimens will be processed by the Texas AR Laboratory first and then forwarded
to the Utah Public Health Laboratory for testing.
